Soogie (soogie.ae) is a UAE-registered marketplace for homegrown businesses. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and your rights.

Customers: name, email address, emirate, profile picture, search history, saved businesses, order history, device type, browser and IP address.

Sellers: business name, story, photos, products, WhatsApp number, Instagram handle, location coordinates, trade licence if uploaded, bank details when payments go live.

All users: pages visited, time spent on site, device and browser information.

• — To operate the Soogie platform and process orders
• — To send transactional emails — application confirmation, approval, order confirmation, rejection
• — To improve search results and personalised recommendations
• — To send platform updates — you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• — To calculate and display the Soogie Score for sellers

We never sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted third parties to operate the platform:

• — Supabase — database hosting
• — Resend — email delivery
• — OpenAI — search embeddings only, no personal data is shared
• — Tap Payments — payment processing
• — Google — authentication via Sign in with Google

All third parties are contractually required to protect your data.

• — Active accounts: data retained while your account is active
• — Deleted accounts: data permanently deleted within 30 days of deletion request
• — Order data: retained for 7 years for legal and accounting compliance
• — Seller embeddings: regenerated when seller updates their profile, old embeddings deleted

You have the right to:

• — Correct inaccurate data — available in your account settings
• — Delete your account and associated data — available in account settings
• — Opt out of marketing emails — unsubscribe link in every email

We use the following cookies:

Soogie is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of Soogie after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
